Terms of Use

Effective date: October 28, 2026

These terms set out your rights and obligations when you use the ZereZ ("we") iPhone app and the ZereZ Pro paid service. By using ZereZ, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use ZereZ.

1. Applicable terms

If you obtained the app from the App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies. If these terms conflict with it, Apple's terms prevail.

2. The service

ZereZ is a tool for recording and splitting shared expenses. ZereZ does not process or move real money; ledgers and settle-up results are for reference between users only, and users handle and are responsible for actual payments themselves.

The free plan has limits on the number of groups and photo uploads. The free plan may show ads.

3. Your account and responsibilities

You sign in with an Apple or Google account. You are responsible for the content you enter and must not use ZereZ for any unlawful purpose or to infringe the rights of others.

4. How ZereZ Pro is provided

ZereZ Pro is purchased through the App Store, and Apple handles the transaction and payment. A subscription is linked to the ZereZ account used at purchase, can be linked to only one ZereZ account, and does not transfer to a new account. See the Support page for details.

5. Trials and payment

• Both monthly and yearly plans renew automatically. The yearly plan may include a free trial, and the App Store determines trial eligibility.
• When a trial ends, the App Store starts charging the plan price unless you have already canceled.
• Payment methods and billing disputes are governed by the terms between you and Apple.

6. Cancellation and refunds

• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in the App Store Subscriptions settings. If you don't want to renew, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• After you cancel, you can keep using ZereZ Pro until the current period ends. Deleting your ZereZ account does not automatically cancel your subscription.
• Refunds are handled under Apple's policies. See Apple's instructions to request a refund.

7. Pricing and changes

Prices are as shown in the App Store. We may change prices; for existing subscriptions, you will be notified under the App Store's rules. If you do not accept a change, you can cancel before it takes effect.

9. Intellectual property

The ZereZ software, interface, name, and logo belong to the ZereZ developer or its licensors. Except as permitted by law or expressly stated in these terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or use them commercially. Content you enter remains yours; you agree that we may process it as needed to provide the service and show it to other members according to your group settings.

10. Third-party services

The service relies on or links to services provided by third parties such as Apple and Google. Those third parties are responsible for their services, and their own terms apply.

11. Changes and limitation of liability

ZereZ is provided as is and may change or discontinue some or all of the service. To the extent permitted by law, the ZereZ developer is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service.

12. Changes to these terms and termination

We may revise these terms, and when we do, we will update this page and its effective date. If you keep using ZereZ after a revision, you accept the new terms; if you do not accept them, stop using ZereZ, and you may delete your account.

If you violate these terms, we may restrict or end your use of the service.

13. General terms and governing law

If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest remains in effect. Our not exercising a right does not mean we waive it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
